Région de Bourgogne-Franche-Comté (BFC) is the local region corresponding to historical Burgundy. Once a kingdom and then a duchy, it is today a French fief for good wine and cheese, and for excellent research of course.
Supmicrotech is a French engineering school specializing in microtechniques and micromechanics. ETOPIM12 is generously hosted by Supmicrotech. They truly saved uor lives when covid restrictions were in effect.
The EIPHI graduate school is an international integrated MSc/PhD program of the University of Bourgogne-Franche-Comté for “Engineering and Innovation through Physical Sciences, High-technologies, and cross-dIsciplinary research”. EIPHI sponsors student participation at ETOPIM12.
Université de Franche-Comté (UFC) is the largest of the institutions that jointly operate FEMTO-ST. The finances of ETOPIM12 are rigorously managed by UFC.
The National Center for Scientific Research, or CNRS, is a public organization under the responsibility of the French Ministry of Education and Research. It is one of the supporting institutions for Institut FEMTO-ST in Besançon. CNRS never answered our request for sponsorship but we love it anyway.
